So finally after a year (or more) of its arrivals, the Air Conditioned EMU was dedicated to service of commuters of Mumbai on 25th December,2017 from Borivali Railway Station, Mumbai!
I had previously seen it on a trial run in June. The local has been passed on Central to Western and Western to Central zones few times before one finally agreed to operate it and started work on it. After the trails the train is now on tracks. Only 1 such train is there at present with fare MORE than FIRST CLASS of normal suburban EMU.
The train will run only between Churchgate and Borivali till 29 December 2017, after that the regular services will begin in January.. The fare ranges from Rs 60 to Rs 205. Its is about 10-40 rupees more than First class fare. The fare is discounted for period of 6 months (base * 1.2 instead of base fare * 1.3 times).

AC local at crowded Dadar arrives & departs + Reaction from crowd

Most of us want to see how Mumbai's AC local gets patronage during evening peak hour rush, especially when the train arrives at ever crowded Dadar station.

Here is the video of 6:09pm Borivali Fast AC local (not halting between ADH-BVI) arriving and departing from Dadar station. You can yourself see automatic doors open and close and patronage for this train
