BRISBANE 2010

This is what Brisbane could look like in 2010 if all goes well. The skyline is rapidly changing though there are some here that I have not inlcuded.

Thanks to Defec8r for the origional picture (I think) and for the person who origionally worked in Vision Tower.

Nice render, did you leave Empire Square out or you won't be able to see it in that pic?

My bad. I just noticed it's facing the other way to what I'm used to seeing in other renders which is why I couldn't see its razor blades.

Well I've include the rumored 480 Queen Street Office Tower which Cottee Parker is designing. Is that the one you mean?

Awesome, all looking good, if all this goes ahead all we need to do now is bridge the gap between Riparian and Vision, and Vision and Empire. Funny how the current tallest is dwarfed by Red Cross, and Red Cross doesnt look as out of place as I thought it might. BRING IT ON!!!!

Brisbane's skyline is gonna be awesome! Now all it need is some serious gap fillers (20x500footers)

That's 480 Queen Street, obviously no one knows how it looks yet so I just took a guess.

The Kangaroo point angle is the least bulked up of all the Brizzy angles, but I don't mind, leaves some room to grow, and a lot of notional projects will change that soon anyway.

These Brisbane 2010 renders resemble the Frankfurt skyline.

No your not - don't say that. Perhaps the rendering was a little confusing. A thing to remember is that there are plenty of buildngs that are not incuded. In the paper today it said that currently there are more DA's in council for buildings over 50 stories in Brisbane than ever in its history.

Also of note is that I have not included new buildings in the foreground - such as those proposed for Wooloongabba. Also if the pic was to pan left we would see the proposed Milton Station tower and possible new towers at Southbank - which could be up to 30 stories in height. This would extend the length of the skyline considerably.

Things are looking up for skyscraper fans in Brisbane over the next few years. Also has anyone noticed the proliforation of new cranes that have gone up in the last few months in the inner sububs? Fortitude Valley, Kangaroo Point and South Brisbane are all beginning to boom with cranes
