Saudi guy, our reporter in Jeddah

Seems like the foreign companies are more keen on courting Saudi investors than Saudi developers. lol

Regarding posting. Use your judgement. If it is a big project, put it seperately, the rest can be put into a single thread.

Thanks for the update Saudi Guy. GREAT JOB!

So far, none of the projects impressed me. I was actaully expecting mega scale projects to be announced during the exhibition.

I don't know Riyadhi, the Tilal project in Medina is massive. I'm pleased to see some green space, which is good since Medina has been losing a lot of it's palm groves because of urban expansion.

I have to say, one of the things I don't like about some of the projects listed above in Mecca is the way they only finish the front facade with nice cladding.

not a fan of the medina project, too little low density housing, a place like Medina should eb having higher density buildings, the green space is definitely needed, i rememebr when i was in medina in '98 it was incredibly humid and the new buildings only magnified the heat.

It's in the outskirts of town, so high density doesn't go there.
