i'm happy with the 280m cap. the way the skyline is composed now is very appropriate, very elegant. to have a taller building now would be breaking the geometry. anyway, cities vying for the tallest buildings invariably slow down and lose the race, why get so caught up? singapore had its "world's tallest" era in the 80s.

Here is a pic I took at the top of the building that will eventually make way for this. It gives an idea of the kinda views you can expect - "city living"

Looks good but nothing special in my opinion. Should work well with the skyline though

They will look great..and the roof design will work very well with the two towers complementing eachother very well IMO.

one shenton - budding beauty

was talking to a architect friend. One Shenton is one of those buidlings that will truly impress after it is built. one does not notice the subtle design on the model, but the generously large hanging balconies that encircles two faces of a corner unit is one of the firsts in downtown singapore.

it also has daring colours - gold and silver - rather than the usual clear or green mirrored surfaces.

i think it's gonna be cool - true inner city living

nice structure......but seriously it's not like skybridges look good in all forms and in all buildings.......the three connecting area between the two buildings kinda spoils the whole thing....it's getting really stupid nowadays people are trying to make 'skybridges' and it turns out to be lesser impressive....this should't be used as a trend or something....certain things in a skyscraper will look good only if it is designed properly....and certain things are better if they're not there at all....these two buildings will certainly look better without the skybridges.....hopefully architects are not thinking that by designing a skybridge they have become more professional....or hopefully it's not the competition as well....
