Uhh no. This doesn't stack up to the great new projects in Russia. It looks like a proposal for a parachute jump in Coney Island.

Moscow is getting some very nice towers and well deserved respect as the high rise capital of Europe.

maybe more highrise than most european cities but please, there is NOTHING nice about that new tower. It looks like one of those cheap rides from disneyland where the thing outside goes up and down really fast.

The cylinder by itself without that ring addition hanging on it would look better.

It looks too massive and thick especially since it is a tall tower and the new skyscrapers around it are so sleek and beautiful.

Please build it without the observation thing.
Pazhaluista!!

That whole cluster looks amazing, however I did prefer it with Tower of Russia instead of this new proposal. ToR with it's amazing spire so excellently mirrored the older buildings in Moscow - the Seven Sisters, the Kremlin and the other spires that punctuate the skyline at various points. This new building just fails to do that, in my opinion it fails to respond to and respect it's context in the way ToR so successfully did.

That ring would actually look nice if it was covered with glass...maybe a few shades darker then the building itself. But I agree the frame by itself looks a bit cheap.

Wow - thats a strange looking tower- It looks like there's a family of baby bank of china towers sitting in a crows nest.

Certainly quite unique

That was a bit of a dickish thing to say. I hate it as much as anyone when peole from London bring up London at any given moment on someone elses thread, but Newcastle Kid didnt mention London. He simply expressed an opinion about the new building, which to be fair is utterly hideous.

I agree, Moscow has without doubt one of the most exiting up and coming skylines in the world. Its just a shame that this new building cheapens the overall tone of an otherwise classy place.

Umm, who mentioned London? I do like some of Moscows architecture. I love Parcel 12. I do however think this building in question is an architectural miscarriage. It is horrible. I don't think anything about it works well. And that is my opinion, I don't know if people where you come from are entitled to one but they certainly are here. Bye.

^well it does annoy me when London always seems to enter the argument, but its amusing that the first person to mention London at all in this thread is Coth. Cant he take it that near enough everyone who has posted (yes not just people from London Coth) thinks this building is shite.

Exactly what my first impression was as well. I think it looks very good. Hopefully some of those god awful older buildings will disappear in the future.
