^wow,

ok civil engineering for dummys:

Concrete as a substance is only strong in compressions not tension, which means it is weak in some ways but not others.

Steel as a substance is strong in tension but not compression, which again means it is weak in some ways but strong in others.

Reinforced concrete is concrete with steel inside it. It is the main building material used on all bridges and buildings.

Sorry I assumed you were unsure as to what reinforced concrete was based on your previous comment about companies using inferior concrete, I didn't realise you were just making a hugely sarcastic comment that nobody picked up on.

Won't happen again.

Is the (whats going to be) taller building on par with the smaller one yet? It can't be far off now.

wrong

Steel is as good in tension as it is in compression BUT it's much more expensive than concrete which only can work on compression.

So reinforced concrete = use the cheapest material for compression, which is concrete, and add steel to it to handle the forces of tension.

In fact it's just an economic story

Looks like the render is quite similar to what is being built
I'm not sure about the bridges though

Fantastic render, but my question is how many bridges WILL there be then? 3 or how many there are on those recent posted renders? Has anyone got any recent photos of it? Cheers
