hmmm, my dad can beat up your dad mentality? Can we get back to talking about the merits of the architecture? Any new photos? I have to admit this is an impressive project.

Come on, guys, we've had enough of this shit with The Shard vs. Russia Tower. Now, you've got your tower at last, while we got a hole in the ground and a half-bankrupt Federation Tower developer. Consider us even.

I really feel this thread should almost be locked until something resumes. It's one of my favourite projects right now, but with all the unnecessary comments flying back and forth, I'd rather just wait until we having something worthwhile to talk about.

Awesome for Russia and well overdue.

Love Sochi Stadium.

Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow is an entirely different kettle of fish.It was built in 1956.No amount of Beef Stroganoff is going to make it look any better. Here's hoping??.

According to article in yesterday's RBC Daily, Sberbank - Russia's largest bank - is one step from opening Mirax Group a $300m credit line to finish construction of East tower by end of 2012 at originally planned height (93 floors).

It seems to me that once a large project like this one has already completed the construction of a large amount of it that you've just got to find a way to finish it. I hope this latest news about new financing actually happens. In a worst case scenario though if they didn't receive that additional financing it would still make sense to finish off the taller tower at a lower height. It's still a very appealing design even if both towers were at about the same height. Of course I'm hoping they can build it to the height it was originally designed.

Nobody has been talking about this for the last 2 years. This was said only once at the beginnig of the crisis, this was sort of a blackmail.
Just to finish the tower now costs additional 100 mln dollars, with no more space added. To finish the tower as it was planned costs 240 mln dollars. So additional space costs only 140 mln dollars - it is very very cheap.
