FT started in mid 2004. West tower finished in '08. The taller East tower didn't really get going till '06 I think. But yeah, this one sure has taken a long time.

But it'll be worth it.

It's typical example of the russophobia, envy and ignorance.

North Korea also built a tall building. Protip, Skyscrapers don't equal success. Besides, skyscrapers don't really belong in Europe. Could you imagine a tower like this in Rome? Or Vienna? Or even St. Petersburg?

St. Petersburg will have an even taller tower - 470m.

I don't think it is phobia, ignorance of Russia really and how far they have come from where they were 20 years ago, 20 years ago Moscow was nothing special now they have a world class skyline, soon they will be with out a doubt the best skyline in all of Europe, London is getting better but Moscow is impressive.

London is rather non-continental Europe and is used to be not typical and misfit in many ways. As it comes to Paris, it got small skyscrapers which do not protrude to be an eyesore on the horizon, well, except for the Tour Montparnasse. These Moscow skyscrapers do not stand even close to any of the Stalin skyscrapers neither in the sense of style and taste, nor to their overall capability to blend in the surrounding Moscow. These skyscrapers look way too American, they would make a lot of fuss in Texas or even in New Jersey, but simply nothing is compared to stylish old and beautiful Manhattan and Moscow stone gothic skyscrapers.
