Is just a render. Nothing official.

I hope the spire will be completed. The whole complex was designed with the spire in mind and it would look kind of awkward if it does not get built.

The height-matching spire looks okay, but the full original height would have been better.

I'll prefer the old version with the original spire...it would just look better imo

I think I can live with the matching spire height.

In my opinion, I think that the new spire design fits more than the old one, but it's just my thoughts. Maybe you guys have different opinions than me

It would seem to me that the spire, up to this point, has been constructed structurally for it's original intended height, could it be possible that the height reduction is a temporary measure to cut costs so the tower itself can be completed, and then the spire can be completed to intended height at a later date ?

They never do, except for mere antennas.

I actually think the one with no spire at all looks better, especially now that the spire will be no taller than the building itself. Looks classier, to me anyway. And it may just be the angle, but it makes the taller building itself seem bigger and more slender.

I agree. The lack of a spire would allow the East tower to seem much taller. However, looking at the render posted previously, the distance between the two towers suggests that there will be something missing, the spacing between both towers seems out of proportion.
If the complex was designed from the beginning without a spire, it would probably have looked better if the towers were slightly closer.
