Just under one year to nearly have a full 250 meter tower built and to also have the first few stories on the second tower going up. I wouldn't call that slow. I call that petty fast for the size of the project.

Federation Tower is a nice building, but the construction is too slow, I think is because of the weather.

What weather? It's +1°C now. It was -5...+10°C all this winter. And they don't stop constructing even at -35°C.

I didn' know that russian workers work at that temperatures, is an amazing effort what they are doing. I wrote this because I live in a tropical country, and I thought that the didn't work at that temperatures. Tank you for the aclaration, but why is the construction is slow?

Right now they're working on the podium part, so there is transition (Vostok tower).
The final floor... well about that I am not sure. No one knows for sure. Probably cladding is priority right now or something.

I don't think the construction is slow. This is the huge project and a monolith technology: all tower is a one single piece of concrete:

And it took very much time to construct the basement and lower storeys:

All other photos are on my website. They were taken during an excursion in November. Sorry, Russian text only, but most photos do not require comments.

All these fairy tales about the huge project and a monolith technology which slows the construction is real bull shit, a lot of construction companies in Dubai and in China have the same huge projects which have been made from monolith and it doesn't disturb the companies to build in two or three times faster than Federation Tower

Yes, and they also use much much cheaper labor too. I mean, the construction workers on Federation Tower probably don't get paid that much, but compared to Dubai... its a lot.

I think, mainly it depends on financial state of the project. If investors have more money, they may allow the project be built without any delays.

Any examples with physical parameters?

Hint: the foundation slab of Federation tower (B and then — A) is an official World Guiness record. Not Dubai and not China. How many 100 storeys full monolith towers constructed faster than 1 storey per 7-10 days do you know? No steel beams!

The labor cost does not affect to the speed of construction.

Sure it does. If you pay your workers less, you can afford more workers, more machines and more materials, in less time.

you suggesting paying workers to blow on the concrete to try and speed up the curing process?? personally i dont see what the problem is, this towers been moving along fine, the only reason it may seem slow is because they built one tower before starting on the second.

I was speaking as a principle. Anyway, in order to be sure that the towers could not possibly have been built faster had there been available more means, one must ascertain that: 1 - the East tower is not being built NOW (right after works on the first tower are over) in order to economize on the necessities of equipment-materials available at the same time (Yes I know it's different firms building, but aren't the owners the same, and aren't the machines and providers of materials common?), but for different reasons and 2 - all the places where concrete has to be poured are being "saturated" now with workers and materials.
