It's nice to know that the Federation Tower will have its own hotel.

I am torn apart between Mercury tower and Federation. IMO it is not fair that they will be standing so close to each other and also sorrounded by other tall bulidings. I 'd much rather prefer them to be somewhat stand-alone buildings, like Chrysler and ESB are in NYC.

Well said! Exactly! What a bad choice to wedge the Mercury between City hall and Federation towers! It will take away space for "breathing", and make it impossible to appreciate Mercury's silhouette.
O Luzhkov, enlightened Duke of Moscow, listen to our humble pleads, have Mercury moved to a different plot of the City, e.g. in 2nd Krasnogvardeysky prospekt, beside Russia Tower and on the other side of the avenue that runs between it and the other three biggies.
Please! This will also make for a more spread out skyline.

Well, I disagree. FT and Mercury are enough tall to be landmarks for sure. But they are supporting towers for RT. Without them RT would looks out of place. Once all projects are completed, IBC skyline will be pretty wide. And don't forget IBC is not only place in Moscow where supertalls are planned.

Coth, we had the very same discussion time ago, and I still believe you didn't get my (and Anm's) point. No one wants to leave poor Russia Tower lonely - in fact I'm hoping for Mercury to be moved to a spot that's as close to it as the current projected plot is. My point is just saving Mercury from being built in an absurd location - literally slipped between two towers that will totally obscure its most beautiful perspective, the "long" side. Hell, no big tower in the world is shaded from both sides by towers as big that stand 40 meters away! Oh well... As soon as I find some spare time I will make a graphic to illustrate what I mean.
