Its along way from the core though for tying back as it goes up. Wonder if we will see another crane at some point to go all the way with the core

Yes this is going to be a "shock and awe" core. Personally I can't wait - this is the most exciting project in the city!

Really busy site today lots of activity and concrete trucks pulled up. A rather crappy panorama of the site from an iPhone.

I think the core has raised (seems higher) - thanks for cleaning the viewing windows - everyone seems very busy on site!

Thanks Ljack, I hope this one doesn't end up like the pinnacle. 2 floors a year.
Well we don't know how that one will turn out.

I have 1 question, is this a jump or slip form ?
I'm not a structural engineer so basically the question is; Is it really slow or really fast

Jump. I don't think any of the current projects are slip. Slip was used on Shard because it's quicker and they wanted to claw back some schedule. It's not cheaper.

This is a slip not a jump. Slips are always slower at the start as you have to stop to add on the lower platforms which is what the scaffold you see is. Once its all in place it will start going quicker.

I'm sure 20FC is a slip form rig. Also, 'The Place' in London Bridge is Slip and St. George Tower is a Slip.

I caught a glimpse of the south side of the core earlier and it seems this building has its own slogan. In big letters across the slipform it says 'the building with more up top'. Not sure if this has been noticed before on here.

Yes, I think you're right. That's my guess too. I am staggered with the progress on this site. It has the activity of an ants nest!!!
