No its part of London Metropolitan University - i think its the music department or some such. Its a great location but you watch people scream blue murder when someone tries to develop it.

Frankly, I'd rather he'd designed a blandly bog standard 'nice' 160m skyscraper in London and blessed Montevideo with an 'exciting and original' airport.
Well, the design of the airport is fairly simplistic, but I wouldn't say bland. When seen from the outside, it acts as a continuation to the soft hills, and from the inside it's just simple, well lit and actually quite enjoyable.

The site was put up for sale over a year ago so I would say its day is numbered but no idea when or by whom as who bought it or if indeed any sale did go through has never been divulged.

Oh my god. I think that blue building is one of the most ugly buildings in London.

Baynard House I think, BT have some operations stuff in there. It's just next to the Mermaid Theatre which looks equally hideous from the outside (great venue inside though, if a bit 1980's).

It looks good in that picture, it must be the way the light is catching it because it's not so spectacular in real life.

I'm more concerned about the awful buildings on the waterfront.
