I think it goes to floor 37. It is then reduced in size and continues to floor 40. This matches with the earlier diagram. 36 floors and then the roof garden.

The last planning application has this going up to 38 floors, 3 of which are in the roof space with the top floor spilling out onto a restaurant. As hob mentioned the top floor core is reduced in width. |

Pics from Blackfriars
Overcoming my disappointment with the state of affairs re Pinnacle, posting my first comment since jan.
This will look massive from the south bank, when completed, much bigger than previos renders suggest. Check out the pics below image hosted on flickr ![]() IMG00073-20120301-1226 by londonfan1, on Flickr image hosted on flickr ![]() IMG00074-20120301-1233 by londonfan1, on Flickr |

Massive indeed, Going to look like a similar height to tower 42 from Tate Modern.

Considering its bulk, is this going to have more office space than any of the current towers in the city, including Leadenhall? Which tower currently has the most space? Isn't it CityPoint? This looks like it could beat that...?

It's only 23 metres shorter than T42,and with its greater width,is a more massive building anyway

funny to see people still complain about this. the fact is, its one of the many buildings proposed in recent years in london that is actually getting built. i bet half the people who complain about it now will love it when its finished, its certainly grown on me.

They should just leave it as a core, stick an observation platform on the top and sign it off. London needs a brutalist observation tower.

Just shows you what an impact this is going to have, and you can add another couple of floors at least onto that core height. It's going to be really dominant on the skyline.
Is that good thing? Well I suppose that depends on your opinion of this rather polarising building. |
