shame on you..........

anyway great progress on this so far, just waiting for the steel. i think people on this forum are too harsh about this building, i think it will widen the city skyline leaving more space for further skyline density within its boundries in the future.

sorry, as always, no pics, but walked past this yesterday. On the Fenchurch St side, it's pretty much open to the street on both the North and south side - hopefully ready for some big steel deliveries!

If someone has a camera, it would make more sense of what I'm trying to describe!

Here's hoping the whole of Fenchurch Street gets redeveloped into slender skyscrapers in the 150-200 range.

There is little of merit in its current building stock. That embarrassing po-mo "gothic" monstrosity should go, as should that mother-of-all bulky, squat groundscrapers adjacent to this tower.

When we complain about digusting fat ugly buildings built 50 years ago that need to be knocked down, I get the feeling exactly the same thing will happen with this in 30+ years, everyone will be saying 'what were they thinking when they built that!' It's so fat that the core itself is bigger than most buildings around it, imagine what it will be like when it's complete and 3 times the size . I thought we were looking for more elegant designs in London with the shard and the pinnacle, then BAM, a huge block in the middle of the two. Oh well...
