Really liking the way this tower is turning out.

The cladding looks much better than in the renders and i like the fact that unlike most tower its getting bigger as it goes up.

Pretty novel really!

this skyscraper is ruining one of the best view of the city of london skyline , from the london bridge to the city hall ....
i wonder why they allowed such a building , (good or bad itself , i won't judge ) being located here .

As much as I respect the view of others that speak of the skyline of London before all the current spate of building as something that will be ruined by this or that building, for me the skyline of London before 2000 perhaps was not something to be pleased with. I thought the skyline of London was deadly dull. There were good and great buildings but they were lost among the dreadful buildings slapped up after the war. Particularly along the Thames. London was a city that turned its back on the Thames as if it were ashamed of it. When will people understand that London is like it is because it is like it is. It is a vibrant, beautiful, ugly, mess of a city. It is a fabulous city. Scratch just beneath the surface and the London of Dickens can be seen. All the history of London is just a London Fog away. The fact that so many periods of London are just around the corner is something that makes it like it is. I lived in London all my life (almost 60 years now!) and for me London has never been quite so exciting. The buildings being built now are a reflection of that excitement. I remember the London of the Swinging 60's and it was "Swinging" but most of the City was still scarred by the bombing during the war. I can remember playing on the bombsites around The Nine Elms as a youngster collecting wood for Bonfire Night and my friends would often bring home un-exploded shells they had found on these bombsites. Now that area of London is going to be home to the new American Embassy and other development that will change London for ever. There will be mistakes made but for the first time in the Modern Era first rate modern architecture is being built in London. That I celebrate

But this building is just novelty for novelty's sake. There's a place where that kind of rubbish belongs, it's called the Tate Modern.

I'll withhold final judgment until I see it completed however.

There was already a fairly tall skyscraper at that location, that was demolished, so it is merely being replaced with something better.

I’m back this week after my computer literally exploded after a fuse blew, there was smoke pouring out of it and me and my dad have only just got it back up and running!
Fortunately the hard drive was okay, so latest diagrams:

unlike other european cities, the skyscrapers in london are scattered across the city and this concept makes london a much bigger metropolis compared to the ones in continental europe.
