Peter The Great:

Its going to get built at the side of Sheikh Zayed Road where Etisalat tower 2 and Dubai WTC stands... not at the Burj Dubai side. Other than that we dont know anything, i think both number of floors, and certainly the height is just an approximate guess, by Dubai-Lover if i'm not misstaken.

I really doubt this will get built because of a good few reasons including airport restrictions, etc. Apparently they are looking for another location to build it. Still though, Al Burj seems far more likely to be built and if either of the two should be in that diagram it should be al burj

Yes Al Burj has a lot of investments behind it and they seem really up for getting it built.

regarding the park square
it's an official project and it's approved

a few after the launch there were discussions about height restrictions in dubai
park square is one tower of the park square project which has about 40 towers in it, most of them 60 storeys and some even above that

since the height restriction discussions no news were published about park square and the park square tower

it might have been scrapped! we don't know yet

the park square project with its 40 towers is located next to the world trade centre at sheikh zayed road
out of the overall skyline which is going to rise around the current skyline this project is the closest to dubai airport

there are rumours that the developer now has shifted the project to abu dhabi, but it has not yet been decided
there are plans for a second 150 storey tower anyway, we don't mind giving one away to our brothers in abu dhabi

we will see!

for your info:
the developer behind this 666m tower is the same as the developer behind the 333m rose rotana hotel in dubai
rose rotana will be the tallest hotel on completion and is well under way, actually the fastest growing tower in dubai
park square tower is HOTEL-ONLY, so it will become the world's tallest hotel on completion as well

they love such numbers i guess

i was bored.lol
Dubai has an amAzing 300 skyscrapers currently uc!
heres a basic graph showing approx 225 over 90m/300ft+
alot of ldgs on emporis have no official height so i estimated 50 of the 25-35st apartment towers at 90m-120m high.
because im from the land of Oz, i put in 309m sydney tower,322m Q1 and 297m eureka for comparison.

Nice job there. Still bored? It would be cool if there were diagrams for other notable Dubai buildings under construction and <300m. It shouldn't take that long with only 225 buildings
