Personally, I'd be surprised if this goes ahead as an office development. This is the only old 'Millennium Quarter/South Quay/Isle of Dogs' development that's hasn't switched to being residential yet(Discovery Dock and 1 Millharbour were both office developments to begin with).
If you were a company, this would have to be pretty special to risk going here rather than the more 'secure' developments over in CW itself. |

Close! Maybe 2012 if the economy and property markets don't tank between now and then.

lol...yes it certainly is! I remember doing it thinking 2006 seemed ages away and all that development seemed possible at the time. Doesn't seem that long ago either...fuck I'm getting old.

The ArrowHead Quay development has now its own website. Ballymore is determined to push ahead with this one. They probably want to diversify their portfolio as they mainly develop residential projects in the area. Will, another tall probably u/c later this year.

They really market this tower as as landmark building, when it doesnt look much different to the stuff there already. ANyway, i got the images off the website for faster viewing:

^ Its okay, but agreed its nothing special.
Perhaps change the design a little, put at spire on it, variate the cladding, that would make it better. |

God almighty - quite honestly it's hard to imagine a more bland looking building. I just can't believe they actually, seriously create such unbelievably dull buildings for Canary Wharf. Surely they can put even a *tiny* amount of imagination into the designs? It looks like they deliberately make them as boring as possible!

I actually quite like it. Okay, its not the best building but I reckon its acceptable for Canary Wharf standards. It won't get away in the city though!

Oh well, at least it's reasonably tall I suppose, and will add some density to the area. In fact, the southern side of the cluster will see quite major expansion in the next couple of years with this, Pan Peninsula 1 & 2, Marsh Wall and Crossharbour, all being built on that side.
