It might be a bland design but that render sure is sweet. I thought I was looking at the finished article.

Does anybody know what used to be on this site (before it became a temporary car park)?
It's been unbuilt on for years... |

"This isn't the only development under the architect's pen at the moment. Chantrey are also working on a new development for South Quay that will apparently have details released before Christmas."

South Quay? Indeed, the site is owned by Capital & Provident.
See the development site in blue "Phase II", it is just opposite to Pan Peninsula. 208 bedroom hotel, 120 services apartments and 80 residential apartment. End value estimated at £90 million. Construction is expected to start in 2007. ![]() See the proposed development on the right. Nothing spectacular.

I remember the planning application, it is a boring boxy tower of about 70m I think.

I would hate to live in Discovery dock especially now that this new phase is going to be built. There would be little natural light especially when you consider the price of some of these apartments. South quay square- more like small barren concrete wasteland. Goth any idea high tall this would be?? |

Miller Hare and Ballymore still show the old design. The new renderings
can be found in the link given by London Lad. Construction is due to start around March/April. |
