And thanks javier, and all others for the outstanding updates..!!

Hi people:

New updates from "Costanera Center" complex, that shows the status of construction works. The tower 2 (300m) has some changes since last update, reaching level 6 in the core and the floor of 3º level.

Sorry for the low quality pictures, they were taken with a cellphone.

Hope you like them.

Nah-nah! Costanera Center stays in Santiago! Though it would fit perfectly on Frankfurt

Whats the word on the other 43 story office tower...?

The main tower will look great, in contrast to the twin 43 story towers..!

The whole complex has some kind of shapes that doesn't work for me. There's no discussion of 300m tower is a piece of jewelry, and the twin 43 floor towers aren't bad at all... but I don't like the way that they get linked to the mall's building, it's like an addition of entrances with no common elements that makes it more "continuum". It looks -for me- like the mall struggling with the towers to get some space.

Here, a render of this complex as it would look when it is completed

Have to agree with you. They should have made something at "walker level", conecting the five spaces or maybe just a few of them, not with that huge mall (box), but with "Paseos" and "Plazas". Some urbanism project in benefit to the rest of the people (I think that with all that bunch money they should have surely could thought in something aesthetic and functional). Obviously here what prevaled was the maximum terrain occupancy, as most of the project in Chile. At least that "box" looks much better than the rest of "boxes" in Chile.

Hope to see in the short time in Chile huge projects like this one, but something more integral.

Saludos

I see what you mean, but i'll bet it work's well from the inside. (or at least, i hope it does...!) what i mean is like, open areas at least 3 levels high, or perhaps all 6, along with atriums, skylights, etc.

Yes it does work from inside, the mall has 6 height areas, nice promenades, and all the equipment necessary to make a good image inside, and all that stuff... I dislike malls, but, most people likes them .

Thanks for the updates Javier.

The main tower is growing slowly, but safe. I think that is because the mall and the other towers have more priority in this stage.

Breathtaking naatural setting! And a very neat city! The only city with over 1 million inhabitants in South America that I would call at least as almost First World (I prefer developed world)!
