Let's end this. Doesn't take us anywhere. Let us just hope that Lahore gets a beautiful tower. The city deserves it.

However, I must insist that Shah Faisal Masjid is in poor condition - especially the roof.

dont take anything the wrong way peter im sure they were just trying to explain that this is going to be built by an international firm so its quality will obviosuly be better too. and guys try to be a bit less agrresive next time, you really have no idea how to speak with manners.

anyway...when will construction start on this much awaited project?

What Peter K is saying isn't really untrue... the construction material/standard and maintenance of "majority" of buildings here is comparatively poorer than those of "developed" countries... anyhow, I personally believe this particular tower would be an exception considering the fact that it'll be constructed by one of the best in the business.

Anyhow, let's get back to the topic... I'm really excited about this tower. There's a pretty huge billboard at the site... they've also taken down all those fences with Emaar signs on them. Hope the construction begins soon!

Yes, let's stop discussing and look forward to this project. Lahore deserves it.

Holy shit stop crying and overreacting. Someone just gave their opinion. Just cause there is one negative opinion doesn't mean this thread is ruined. You need to calm down a little and focus more on the topic of the thread, the project. And coming to that, is there any new info on the project.

Its great to see projects like this in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. I think the main issue of concern (not stupid bickering about whos right and wrong) is that for the benefit of all, the construction meets the most stringent eathquake-proof standards. We all saw what happened in Islamabad...

Lets hope that the government, the construction company and all involved put this as a high priority an no shortcuts undertaken, otherwise better not building such complexes at all.

Sheikh Zayed Center, Lahore [slight design changes]

STATE/COUNTRY: Punjab, Pakistan
COST: $500 Million

HEIGHT: Various

Very minor changes, overall the buildings are more detailed, the pics have been taken off a poster unlike the earlier one, that is why it does'nt look so smooth.

if you always want to make threads here then atleast get the facts right, you make threads with wrong information all the time.

project cost is well over $500 million are your saying $250m, not even one of those will cost that less, height is also much taller then 55 strorys, it would create over 50,000 jobs, 30,000 was for the old project by emaar which got stacked.

The old render looks the best I think. It looks dramatic.
