here is several small rederings of new metro stations that will be opened in 2006-2008 and currently u/c.

mosmetro is building currently 15,6km and 7 stations (1 without opening for future development expansion)

Mezhdunarodnaya (Filyovskaya line, 2006)

Sretenskiy Bulvar (Lyublinskaya line, late 2007-begin 2008)

Trubnaya (Lyublinskaya line, late 2007-begin 2008)

Slavyanskiy Bulvar (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, late 2007-begin 2008)

Kuntsevskaya (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Filyovskaya lines, late 2007-begin 2008, cross-platform, onground, rebuilding)

Strogino (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, late 2007-begin 2008)

Interesting how elements from the "classic" Moscow metro stations are combined with modern designs. Especially Trubnaya looks very classic.

Trubnaya is deep station in center of Moscow on extension of Lyublinskaya line, as well as Sretenskiy Bul'var.

I like the modern designs, and in particular that entrance to Slavianskij Bulvar. Bilbao, Madrid and London subways currently build very cool entrances to their new stations and it is time that Moscow would pay attention to this as well, maybe even redesign some of the standard boring ones that are already there. It is great that they are going to rebuild that open station; I hope they plan to do it with all open stations of this kind.

I agree with Mirco. It's great to see that cost cutting hasn't ruined the amazingly decorated look of the moscow subway, although the Slavyanskiy Bulvar seems a bit bland. An extremely wonderful system.

It's very beautiful but I don't expect modern glasses and metal pipes (it's a trend everywhere in the world these days and getting bit bored and tacky) from the Russian subways since they obviously have their own style of sophisticated architecture. I would rather expect something made from wood or wooden design in Russia, which looks more luxury and stylish.
