It's symbolic that columns, light fixtures and its reflections at Metro station "Zhulebino" forms Russian letter "Ж" ("Zh"):

This is the first extension of Line 7 since 1975. Out of all the radial lines, Line 7 was the one that hadn't been extended the longest. Now, that honor goes to Line 1 and Line 6, both of which have not been extended since 1990 (Line 6 since Jan 1990, Line 1 since Aug 1990). However, Line 1 will soon be extended to the southwest, and after that, Line 6 will be the only radial line that has stayed the same since the Soviet times.

Untill Chelobitevo station is aproved for construction and funding. The extension is on hold right now, isn't it?

Really nice stations, late 00s Moscow stations were a bit repetitive, IMHO, but these two brought some fresh air, they are looking modern, but not cheap.
Congratulations!

It's better to say - northern extension of the Line 6 is not primary task for now. Recently it was decided to refuse from extension of this line to populous city of Mytishchi (population - 178.672 residents) due to fears that Line 6 will be overloaded after that. However, there are plans for construction of Metro depot in the village of Chelobityevo (between the Moscow border and center of Mytishchi). The Metro station "Chelobityevo" is planned to be built as addition to this depot.

The extension of existing Metro lines should not be priority task in long-term perspective. Nowadays, daily ridership at many lines is close to limits. The main task is construction of new lines and organization of transfers to existing lines.

Let's wait until tomorrow. I think that before opening of parallel Kozhukhovskaya Line, it will be turned into Zhulebino effect.

Exactly, but what we can see on the extention plan map is that the western part of line 8 won't have a lot of transfers.
There is no transfer to line 9, nor to the cicrle line 5 and then no tranfer to line 4 at Smolenskaya and Kutuzoskaya.
It seems to be quite odd, to avoid those interchanges already in the planning stage.

Mytishi agglomeration is ~800 thous, including Korolyov, Yubileiny, Schelkovo, Fryazevo, Ivanteevka, Pushkino etc.

Lyubersy agglomeration is ~450 thous, including Zhulebino, Kozhuhovo, Lyuberetskie polya, Nekrasovka, Dzerzhinsky, Kotel'niki etc. And there will be a second metro line by 2016.
