Counting also the MKZD circle line, what is the total length of Moscow metro now?
How many stations are there?

I know there is an ambitious plan to overtake London by the end of 2020. Is it right?

MKZD in Moscow this is not the metro like Overgraund in London. Classical Moscow metro (not including new ring) has a length of 339 km. Moscow will overtake London in 2020 -2022 year
Sorry Google translate.

Is Butovo Line counted in the Moscow figure, and if so, would Docklands Light Rail need to be counted as part of London underground?

The difference of Butovo line is only length of the platform. The line uses the same type of rolling stock, with only a smaller number of cars. DLR separate system of rail transport in London.

If we add MKZD loop line to the official metro system, it will make 394 km in total. But we don't, at least for now.

Butovskaya Line is conventional heavy rail metro line. No difference at all. It was called light metro, because it was financially light, cheaper than underground. Butovskaya Line uses 4-car trains. Filyovskaya and Kahovskaya uses 6-car trains. Rest lines uses 7-8 car trains. Or their analogs in 81-740 series with 27m long cars. Butovskaya operated by 3-car 81-740 series, Filyovskaya operated by 4-car 81-740 series, Koltsevaya (Circle) and Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya operated by 5-car 81-740 series.

Moscow Monorail (Line 13) that is class of Docklands - light rail.

Has construction begun yet on the central part of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line?

I noticed that all of the yards are terminal. There are no loop tracks at all.

Yard 4 has two input lines, but not through-connection.

PS. Yard 2 has a connection with the "Almaz", the purpose is shrouded in mystery.

PPS. In the scheme there is no depot and lines Metro-2 (D6).

Slightly offtopic. The Moscow Metro is associated with bunkers. At least one of which was declassified and sold to private ownership.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagans..._Command_Point

The place where you can find it, is now a museum.

Model of the bunker layout and gate with subway line

Entrance is masked as an old building

The connections with the metro line is now closed.

At the end of the pedestrian tunnel is a lattice through which can be seen the metro station.

And finally. New rail buses for the Metro 2 (D6).

81-730.05 - designed for service passenger and freight traffic on de-energized or electrified lines underground. It has a passenger cabin with two control cabins and loading platform with loading crane.

In late 2008, after passing the test, they were transferred to the custody of the special yard is the military unit 95006 (office of special facilities) for the operation of the service on the line for special purposes D6 with no electrification.

https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/81-730.05

Do not confuse a complete transportation system Metro 2 (D6) with rescue lines. Yes, there are several unique lines for the evacuation or communication of between two objects (non-D6), but they do not function for a long time for various reasons.

Just a question, are there projects to link the new line 8 and 10 extensions with the circular line 5 in the future?

Connection between lines 10 and 5 on the North was started but it's on hold now.

Connection between lines 8 and 5 on the West was in plans but it seems they are going to cancel it.

Both projects are extremely expensive, that's the main reason.

OK. Looking at the map, it actually seems like the lack of connection at Polyanka between lines 6 and 9 is the most annoying one. Those major crosstown routes have no direct connection anywhere in Moscow.
