I found information about year of 2008 from various sites specializing on sale and rental of apartments (see below), but may be this information isn't exactly correct.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude.

The point is for some directions tram as a means of public transport is not enough. You know Moscow is a huge and dense city just like Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo and so on. It is very hard to construct new lines with a dense built-up area, sometimes being impossible. Yes, there are parts where you can trace them but you'll have to overcome loads of obstacles, and the output might not be that obvious. And an underground tam would be very cost-inefficient

Moscow mayor has choses the right strategy to develop HEAVY rail (see: metro) at a frantic pace, that is the best solution to the problem of congestion.

Ah,maybe I was wrong here but this is about putting into operation. The buildings themselves were completed several years earlier. Yet probably not in 2005, in 2006 I guess.

I can also add that trams can face with some obstacles on their way due to car accident or due to other reasons. For example, I use tram every working day. During last week, when street temperature dropped to -10° C and there were heavy snowfalls, my tram route was periodically paralyzed due to problems with switching (it was necessary to regularly clean switches).

Sure, may be this building was structurally completed in 2005-2006, but works inside this building lasted till 2008.

Vladykino station is going trough some refurbishment. The northern exit is closed for 2 weeks.

I was surprised to discover one of the sculptures on the wall: it was Matsumoto castle in Japan. Didn't make any connection though.

Lenin sky prospect station is being refurbished, too, with its northern entrance closed.

Hopefully, they're replacing old Soviet tiles not with CHEAP american plastic siding but with natural stone.

At Vladykino there are 8 reliefs of architectural monuments:
- Italy, Venice: Church of San Giorgio Maggiore
- Japan, Matsumoto - Matsumoto Castle
- India, Agra - Taj Mahal
- Russia, Vladykino - Church of the Nativity of the Virgin
- Russia, Kizhi Island - the Chapel of the Archangel Michael
- Uzbekistan, Bukhara - Chor Minor
- Russia, Vladimir - Golden Gate
- Georgia, Nikortsminda - Nikortsminda Cathedral

I'm pretty sure he means China.

The US doesn't really export any of its cheaper products because it can't compete at the low end. High-end American products, on the other hand, are world-class.

Former escalator to Vorobyevy Gory station had been covered. Perhaps, they're preparing it for demolition:
