I presume trains in the other direction are skipping stations where they have no platforms to stop at? Or is there some single-tracking going on?

Why are they hiring Chinese firms ? It was always done by Russian firms no ?

As you can see, each of these two stations have two side platforms. In order not to close stations during reconstruction, these platforms will be reconstructed step-by-step. When one side platform is under construction, trains which rides in corresponding direction are passes this platform without stop. However, the trains which rides in opposite direction has stops at other platform as usual. So, those passengers who previously used platform which currently under reconstruction, are using next scheme. They are riding to the next station, then changes direction and ride back to opposite platform. As a result, the time of daily rides will be on 10-15 minutes longer, but at least they don't need ground transport in order to reach this Metro station. When one side platform will be reconstructed, the opposite platform will be closed for reconstruction, and passengers will use such scheme but for opposite direction.

Not enough construction companies to realize all existing plans. Previously there were opened 2-3 stations (sometimes 5-6 stations) per year, that's not corresponding to existing plans of new Mayor. Also, some Russian construction companies have no enough experience in Metro construction, and there were many claims to quality of their works. As a result of that, the opening of many stations was been postponed for few months because they were no able to finish works on time.

There will be transfer between new and old vestibules

Park Pobedy is the most deepest Metro station in Moscow (depth - 74 m). It was opened in 2003 with two underground halls and one escalator tunnel. The existing escalators are second longest in the world (length - 126 m). In the whole world, only Admiralteyskaya Metro station in St. Petersburg has longer escalators (length - 137 m).

The new escalator tunnel was built parallel to existing one.

Ah, I see. So like what the NYC Subway has been doing on the F and N services, where trains skip stops in one direction and you double back?

And re Park Pobedy - just to be sure, there is a connection between platforms at or near platform level, right?
