These photos show street work, and such work is very low in our country. Mostly second-rate firms and workers.

^why not improve 'street work' ? It is no rocket science and such simple construction is even performed better in Africa than in Russia judging by SCC threads.

People are accustomed to ugly street!

Сan not understand Russia with mind. This is reality. For example, I live in the city of Ufa with a population of one million people, we have snowdrifts in the center of the city that are more than 3 meters high. To the summits of 2015 the city center was put in order, but this year heavy tractors broken this order when snow cleaning. There is no snow in Africa, right?

In addition, very cold weather destroys materials faster. In Russian cities, there is a very high population density, so snow cleans very quickly and carelessly. Also, the streets are sprinkled with sand and salt to prevent injuries and car accidents.

I guess we are discussing this in a wrong thread. But no matter what kind of construction... roads or metro. Harsh weather conditions are not an excuse. Ever heard of Canada, Alaska, Norway ?

p.s those pictures with low quality construction are brand new stations !

I did not talk about justification. People in Russia are accustomed to ugly street!

Canada, Alaska, Norway have a softer climate. I will simply keep silent about the population density in cities.

I agree, this offtopic. I stop.

UPD. Infrastructure is not broken by the weather, but mostly by tractors. Russia is not able to fix all the infrastructure broken over the winter. All this has led to the fact that people in Russia are indifferent to quality.

This station looks very different for Moscow's metro system. If I seriously had to guess where it was (without the obvious hints like the Soviet style train car and Cyrillic writing) I would've guessed it was in some German city

I don't think that Russian people are indifferent to quality but rather the corrupt bureaucrats & officials who inflate construction prices or just embezzle money.

This exit suffered from the last minute rush. Built in just few weeks, because some officials wanted to open it as fast as possible.

Well, in all of Alaska, the number of urban streets is less than in one area of Moscow. In Russia there are many more cities with conditions much worse than Alaska. And budgets are not comparable.

Fifth

Seventh

Traditions win. Starting with the seventh train, the windows have rounded corners.

And on subsequent trains, the windows on the doors will have rounded edges.

These trains are probably the most beautiful metro trains I've never seen in the world!

Traditions win? I think Metrovagonmash has serious problems with constructing and stability! So they went back to rounded corners to prevent cracks.

Squarish windows were simply criticized for looking outdated.

But with this tiny edit, things getting worse again. Don't get me wrong, I like the 81-765 very much. I think they're the best looking russian metro trains at all.

If the outdated look is the only reason for rounded corners, why are the windows of the doors still with corners? Good design maintains continuity! I think all windows should share the same style.

Doors are not made in Russia. They also want to make rounded windows. But it will be a little later, maybe on the 15th or so.

Not much better atm. Corner radius isn't high enough. But hope will be improved.
