If it's true they have 75% of the commercial space leased they should have no problem securing financing to build this. But considering all the delays in the past, I wouldn't put it past them to have more delays in the future. Hopefully this gets built. I think it's one of Dubai's best designs.

Are you referring to the 2012 deadline mentioned, or BAA ever getting built? I think 2012 is very optimistic personally, especially considering all the delays we've witnessed with this one, but if they have really sold 50% of retail and 75% commercial space in the tower then they shouldn't have too many problems getting this built. I'm hoping they will get down to building BAA for real by next summer/Autumn.

I agree. I've spoken with many investors over these past few months and I can tell you that there is a lot of genuine interest in this building. Many people want to see BAA built! Let's keep our fingers crossed that construction won't be all too far away in the future.

geat design if you ask me. Funny thing is sometimes i'll actually mix it's name up with another hotel in Dubai: Burj Al Arab. I wonder why...

I think that this will get built, but I would look towards a 2014-2015 completion date. Work is still going kinda slow, and until they get a main contractor, I don't see it work speeding up.

Ah some pictures that sort of show the location of it. Is it close to the Emirates Park Towers, or is it at the other side of the Dubai Creek?

Yes Joint Venture,
They have 7 projects in Business Bay and need a main contractor for all of them.
