You can't compare Burj Al Arab and Al Alam. Burj al Arab will never be pathetic.

No, it won't ever be pathetic, but neither will Burj Al Alam. I have never heard of a 500+ meter building that is pathetic.

That's just one of the many incredible things about Pentominium - 600m+

Yes, so great to finally see progress here also! The podium alone of BAA is mind-blowing!! HUGE!!

Almost everything abou the Burj Al Alam is huge- the site, the podium, and the building! I can't wait for it to rise.
The site looks like just about 3 time the size of the Pentominium. Wow!

Yes, but I am afraid that with such a large hole, pilings will take a very long time to complete. Like I said before, look for a completion date around mid-2015. However, once it begins to rise, it should share 1 thing in common with the Pentominium- its thickness. After a large podium for the Burj Al Alam, both buildings are relativly thin. I would therefore assume that groundwork will take a long time, but that once it begins to rise, it will rise quickly. Only time will tell for sure.

Looks like quite some piles to go looking at the amounts of round rebar on the last picture.

When doing a piling, expect that to take a while to be done. The bigger the site it's, the long it takes for it to complete. But anyways, lot more activity going on since its previous stall. The pillars on the right might either be another highway or just a normal roadbridge. But can anybody see some on the other side of the river? I'm seeing like 3 so far on the front probably.
