Hmm, the shades make the tower look a bit bland to me. I'll reserve my judgments until the whole shebang is completed, but I'm not feeling it yet. Maybe it's just the yellow-ish cast of the pictures, but I was expecting a grey/glassy kind of building, not this color.

It's looking gray rather than white, I agree we'll have to wait untill when it's completed.
Thanks for this amazing update Carlos.

Actually, I wouldn't. As I said before, the ceramic bars look is fresh and original, but it would ruin otherwise panoramic views from the inside. I mean it will be considered stylish but hell, I'm an urbanite, I need to see a hella view if I'm in a skyscraper.

Alot of us are Irish, at least decendent. This spire sucks cuz its just a pole they should put a big flag on it. Now that would be sweet, maybe even a 2001 sqft one for FT.

This tower is looking so amazing. Not just another glassy tower for a chance.

Honestly..in person..i HATE them...but maybe when the tower is finished and the lights are on..they will look better...I would hate to work in the building..and have those wonderful views semi blocked by those "mini blinds"....we'll see.....

Great pics.

Nice to see something new built in New York in contrast to all the classic buildings of the 1920s and 30s.

Carlos, do you suspect that those horizontal bars may be used for light reflection?

Perhaps some sort of solar power generation?

Just a thought.

Cuz this is the first skyscraper built in NY since the 30's.

I dont like modern and older buildings next to each other i think it would be sweet if they were 2 seperate sections one older with older style streetscape and everything. And a new modern section with starbucks and monorails. When a new style comes around you build a new part of the city.

Nice building.
It would be great if the spire wouldn`t count. The height would be more honest.

TowersNYC thanks for all your work.
