Sudan didn't need the Western media to make themself look bad. All the refugees in Chad are living proof of that.

And the elite in Sudan will launch estate project and make money with them to fund war against their own people.

I am not anti Arab, don't get wrong but some people in that area should sometimes be a little more critical about themselfs before shouting that the whole world is against them.

The elite in Sudan? It a foreign investment. The elite might be bad but this has nothing to do with them.

I doubt the "sudan elite" makes any profit from this...

By "your media" I assume you mean the U.S. If that's the case, then let's not forget how your Scandinavian media lit the Muslim world on fire just prior to the announcement of the DP World deal.

No, but you seem pathetic, judging by the amount of posts you've made to this forum. Get a life.

Whether or not this sort of thing is appropriate in Sudan at the moment aside...you can see the area where Almogran will be built in this aerial - seems like its right in the middle of the Khartoum metro area.

This looks like a very ambitious project. The current tallest building in Sudan is (from what I gather) the Frienship Palace Hotel at 12 storeys:

All those people who think this is a stupid way in investing in the country are pretty stupid themselves. The wests way of just giving money for aid does not fix the problem. It only relieves it in the short term. Projects like this that help develop the countries economy and give the nation an opportunity to look after its own people is the proper way of relieving poverty in nations such as sudan. I don't get why so many western governments, and people, don't seem to understand that. Then again, i guess they don't want even more competition.

And about the americans complaining about arabs making themselves look bad, well america hasn't done much better with its image after assasinating leaders and invading numerous countries.

Will it be within the city borders of Khartoum or will it be a separate suburb?
Does it have any chance to get built or is it just a vision?

They could be using their money for irrigation for farms.

This is great news if true, I guess right now I'm still skeptical.

Shocking (but not surprising for this kind of country)
