Detroit's a pretty cool city. This development looks pretty nice. I'd take advantage of river living if I ever moved to the city. Either there or Royal Oak sounds best to me.

Is that Motown building a go?

The MGM site is huge with 3-4 big cranes, too bad its only for a 18 story tower.

The new building extireors on Woodward look really nice.

Aaron judging by your flag youd like Ferndale.

Please tell me the spotlights on the top of the Greektown addition are not permanent fixtures on the building...I also noticed spotlights on another project!?

Major downtown Detroit Developments 3

Thanks for the compliments on the pics... still more to come. gotta keep everyone updated on the "New Detroit."

**UPDATE** I Read in the newspaper a few days ago that the proposed MGM GRAND Detroit permanent hotel rendering is not the correct one I had posted. A representative from MGM GRAND Las Vegas said that "it was a misunderstanding and the MGM GRAND Detroit will look nothing like the false rendering-it will be better." They said the actual rendering will be released sometime in April. I figured it couldn't be like that because MGM's casino/hotels are on the GAUDY/GLITSY side.... compared to the older type architecture...

as far as the permanent spotlights on the Greektown addidtion... i couldn't tell you if those are permanent or not. I think they are pretty neat..... why not have them on?... i mean, Las Vegas hotels/casinos have bright glimmering lights wth spotlights on em... why not Detroit?....
