Thank you Bikes for the high quality photographs. I went to your site to look.

Are there just the three photgraphs? Or is more on a different part of your webpage?

I submitted my post too soon before I added his friends name. I thought maybe he had five or six supersize photographs by his Hungarian friend, Imre and put just the 3 best ones on the home page update.

BREAKING NEWS
Nobody expected the tiny country in the heart of Europe to try and compete with either UAE or Kuwait, but it seems to just happen. I've had the opportunity to visit the construction site of the world tallest tower. In the suburb of Budapest the structure is already rising and currently at the height of 85m, and it won't stop before 999m ! The constructor company HUNGAAR is aiming to complete it just ten days sooner than the Burj. The company is very confident and they were not hesitating to publish the exact height, as they claim there is no real competition. On the other hand they would not release a render of the skyscraper, the design is a surprise.

I think this is a april fools joke.

There is only one city where something like this could happen.

The Bionic Tower in Shanghai for the World Fair in 2010.

Its so amazing to see something like this being built in our lifetime. You would think a building of this magnitude would happen around 2050 or something! How are they going to construct the building when it gets around 600 meters, are the cranes going to be tall enough?

^ yes i agree. It took many years for a skyscraper to surpass the mighty Sears tower, but that was by default (Petronas using 452m spires) but Taipei101in 2004 actually eclisped Sears roof by 6m (448m), but its spire height of 508m was still lower then Sears antenna of 527m. So you would thing the next tallest might have been taller by say 50m or so, 550m or even up to 600m,but now we have Burj Dubai which will go beyond 700m and could go to 800m, which is a substantial distance higher then previous tallest.this hasnt happned since ESB back in 1930's.
yes i pinch myself sometimes watching this building grow skywards. i didnt think i would see a skyscraper of this height in my lifetime.

The cranes are on top of the building.

Yes Culwulla,

Every time I look at my skyline (Auckland) I imagine Burj Dubai in the midst of it towering over everything. I can see it disappear into the clouds on a drizzly day and gleam in the sun on the brightest of Sundays..

I follow the construction for a long time and when I look to the latest render, what would be the use of the space in the core when all wings are set-back.
When you look at the top, is the space not to small for appartments or offices in this core segment?
Is there somebody who knows the functionallity of the core?
Thanks
