the 50m mast is not longer a priority. a new idea at lev88 observation deck is a moving pod that extends 2.5m from southern face. this cube will stand 12 people and have a glass floor which viewers can see 282m straight down.

Nice one .. inspired me to comapre it to Middle East's current tallest... Emirates Office Tower... assuming BD will be 705 m (we all know it's gonna be more than that)

Thank you again smussuw for the photographs. No one commenting about them even though they show the first setback. Probably the only photos in the world to show this. Everybody preoccupied with the "riots" that don't even pertain to the building and feeding the trolls. Who would have thought that 3 separate threads would be created from the incident

Thank you again

notice the formwork on the right part of the building :only two units attached to the central core are now rising, it isn't one of the setbacks already is it? that seems a little too low for that.

It has reached the first setback alright. In the renders you can't actually ever see the lowest one since it's always behind the other two

Yeah. They need a full time person to change the sign the tower rises so fast. By the time they printed and put the billboard up, it was probably at 32 already.

If you count inside the scaffold, it looks like 35 to me

The latest render (at the beginning of the thread) shows every setback and, so far, is accurate. The first setback begins at every maintenance level. Maintenance level clearly being shown by the larger than normal floors 16-18. So two more wings to setback, then the next phase of setbacks when you see the next maintenance levels being made.

Also, it looks like scaffold is being added at the setback inner wall. Looks like the adapter floor being setup to accommodate the nose section to rise from there?

Thanks to smussuw to show the setbacks first and in great detail

As each wing is setback alternately - only one wing will be setback on the maintenance/lobby level - the others will be setback 1/3 and 2/3rds the way between each.
Note - In the photo by soeneckken and the render on this page (that shows the maintenance / lobby levels) you can see both are taken from the same angle! - with the setback level on the right.

That means the next main wing bit to be setback will be the one on the left of the photo... but only after it's about 10 floors above the maintenance level.

ps. yep, great photos, more than one a week guys - you're doing well, keep up the good work :-)

The tower is marked (painted) for each floor, but some photos are a wider shots to show the building and are not easily seen. The inner wall of the inner wing has very large numbers, while the outer wall has smaller numbers.

Some of the bottom of the tower will eventually get blocked by building and/or materials, but as long as we can see the maintenance levels (larger than normal floors), they are 16,17, & 18

You did give me a good laugh tho
jet fuel lit the surrounding structure and that was burning for a month.. youre telling me that 2 full tanks of jet fuel would burn up in moments?? even then, by that point at over 1000 degrees, (because that shit burns so hot) everything around it is going to catch fire and get severly damaged.. 2 x 110 floor structures flattened created a pile of rubble that was almost 15 floors high at its peak.. there was plenty there to burn.. and by the way. it was smoldering for more than a month actually... anyways, there is the skybar to debate about this one..
