Are you refering to PALM TOWERS?

Launching a one of its kind project in Qatar - The Palm Towers 15.12.2005

Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Dar Investment & Development, the project of the Palm Towers has been launched in the Four Seasons Hotel, with the attendance of H.E. Mr. Mohammad bin Khalid bin Mohammad Al Mana, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Board of Directors and several of their excellencies, the Sheikhs, ambassadors, businessmen and a number of interested investors.

In his speech, H.E. Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, the vice-chairman of Dar, considered that the modern laws of Qatar express the Qatari Government's intention to make this country a center of attraction through prosperity in all aspects of life and by encouraging investing in Qatar through finding new means to attract both Arab and foreign investors.

H.E. added, "Since we anchored our basis in the real-estate developing business in Qatar and our faith in the prosper future of this sector is increasing constantly. The unprecedented growth in the Qatari economy in all aspects of life, under the reign of H.H Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and His Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, supported by the enlightened policies and plans, attracts continuously the investors from all over the world to Qatar, which means more demand on the special and modern real-estate in the country".
His Excellency concluded, "The Palm Towers is a landmark in our journey of seeking superiority and we are committed to embroider it with success, side by side with our other projects that will beatify our beloved country, Qatar".
The Palm Towers is considered the first of its kind in Qatar in design and development, taking the shape of a palm tree. In addition to the option of lease to own, the project is located on an area of 18,229m² in the heart of new Doha. The height of each tower is 245m and each houses 57 stories of distinguished office space.

Chief Executive Officer of Dar Investment & Development, Engineer Abdullah Atatreh, stated that Qatar is a rich base for real-estate investments and he urged businessmen to take advantage of Qatar’s booming economy as an investment opportunity, especially in the real-estate sector.
Eng. Atatreh concluded by sighting the efforts of H.H. The Emir of Qatar and H.H. The Heir Apparent in improving the image of Qatar in the region and the world

It is expected to deliver the project in the first half of 2009, thanks to the efforts of MZ & Partners for Engineering & Constructional Investments and to the contractor, Al Sail Contracting & Trading.

It is worth noting that Dar Investment & Development, although new to the Qatari market, has succeeded in taking up a prominent position among its rivals and has managed to establish bridges of trust with the investors and the businessmen in Qatar

They won't cancel Palm Tower. It is already under construction. And it looks fantastic!
If they cancel it, I will probably commit suicide!
