Capitol & Parliament Buildings

Budapest Parliament by Sugardxn, on Flickr

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought It would be neat to show each other what our Capital, Parliament and other buildings of national importance look like.

I'll go first with a few Buildings and monuments from Canada's Parliament Hill.

National War Memorial

Supreme Court of Canada

All of the essential government buildings in the US are located in and near Washington, DC since it's the capital of the US.

US Capitol (Home to Congress)

White House (The president lives and does most of his work here)

US Supreme Court (Known for the nine judges)

FBI HQ (Known for tracking criminals of federal crimes)

CIA HQ (This one is actually located on the outskirts of DC)

The Pentagon (Also on the outskirts of DC and is the US military base, plus part of it was destroyed on 9/11)

Nice buildings! I like the Supreme Court of Canada, the Senate house in Rome, and the interesting International Center of Culture in Tirana. What is it used for (the ICC in Tirana)?

That's not the US Supreme Court building; that's the West Building of the National Gallery of Art (Smithsonian).
