Sorry this is NOT true!...OK here and there the streets could be tidier but haven´t you noticed the buildings that look shiny and those that got paint as well...a lot has improved since the horror days drew to a close...Luanda 4-5 years ago looked awfully neglected and almost hopelessy run-down...now it gets better and better...another 10-15 years and the city will have changed dramatically.

....but I strongly fear that too many uneducated & illegal foreigners stream into Luanda AND MESS THINGS UP like they are doing in Hillbrow (South Africa)... a formerly thriving, cosmopolitan & presentable area which has been transformed into a crime-ridden hell-hole!

This is a problem that a LOT of Africa is going to face within the next decade. Half of Africa is doing well, and the rest isnt. Ghanas economy will be growing at Angola type rates for the next decade as the oil comes in- its surrounded by unstable IC, and poor Togo and Burkina. I spell social disaster and riots on its way as noone seems to be really tackling the problem now.

Hotel
Skyna do conforto

Good

Belo

Nice pictures, wales are not normal so close to the shore. Beautiful moment indeed. Its normal to see wales Offshore, i have seen some in random platforms. In Namibe, Benguela, and in Mussulo open waters in "contracosta" they are also common. Dolphins are more likely to happen in our open waters. Nice pictures.

It is nice to see buildings being repainted and shiny new ones coming up every day. I left Luanda in 1977 and am looking forward to seeing it again next year. I have noticed that there have been some sidewalk repairs but the actual road paint is quite worn off. Is this because of the active construction or just not a priority at this moment?
