I have been following especially the roadbuilding in Angola and according to the Angolan roads website www.inea.gv.ao you will be able to drive on an asphalt road from Namibia border to Luanda by the beginning of 2009. I drove this route in August and at least 60% has been completed. I believe South African tourists will flock there once these roads are complete.

I like this golden skyscraper, it is a glass building, so it will also look nice in twenty years (given the tropical weather and its nasty effects on buildings..a building that is five years of age, for instance, can quickly look rotten and scary) But this building is not ugly, to my mind.

The most amazing to me was how quickly it was completed, the other projects are not even moving a third as fast as this project.

do you think this building is completed? it´s not! they are still working... you see only the hull, because the building is a steel-construction. but the interior, the interior divisories and other things are not completed.

they worked liked potemkin, if you know what he has done...

and in reality it´s ugly, ugly, ugly!!!!

Pessoal nao sei se devia ou nao postar este prédio dos Chineses mais uma vez. Mas o debate que dele resultou fez-me postar esta foto para clarificar aqueles q consideraram o prédio feio. Deêm mais uma vista d'olhos. A meu ver, até que nao é feio. O dourado nele esta a matar e nao sei se existe em outro lugar um edifício assim (no mundo)

Take another look with this picture and you may change your opinion. I don't think it, ugly at all. The golden look on him its killing, and makes it unique.

Não sabia que esta construção que o caro AAPMBerlin diz ainda não estar acabada, já estava assim tão avançada ou mesmo exteriormente terminada.como é possível para chineses demorar quase 3 anos com acabamentos interiores? não compreendo, é estranho.

eu por mim nao gosto, porque o prédio nao está a corresponder com a cidade alta de luanda, aonde ele esta situado. nao gosto do material, porque daqui a uns anos torna-se verde por causa da oxidacao (o revestimento é de cobre!). o que tambem faz, com que o prédio em real nao é muito bonito é o facto dos primeiros 3 a 4 andares serem parque de estacionamento com revestimento em chapa perfurada e nao de vidro!
