What about Luanda Sul?

What about Luanda Bay project (land reclamation which has started), can you give us some more insight into that? Please tell us something about it

What about the ultra-modern library building which is u/c in Luanda?

Let´s bear in mind, Luanda has just started..... in ten years time Luanda will the "Sao Paulo of Africa"

Luanda Sul its growing faster too; but as you know investments in that area of the city its no easy. Any way its a new city growing on that side of the city, lot of people have already change homes to south zone. The library place is already fenced up, but the terrain is being use for other major projects to store thare water pumps, soils, machinery, etc. So perhaps may be only in the middle of 2008 or late in 2009 they start thinking on the library project.
Due the heavy rains that are falling in the urban area most of the projects on the city are stop or in a low pace.
But the project is going well dont worry.

Matthias, the area reserved to this project is already fenced up and to help you about is loacation, its near Hotel Alvalade. I think before the end of this year the project will start cose some surveys are being made by constructors companys on the field. There are some little problems because some ppl used to live in the area reserved to the project and now they expect some compensation. The same problem to Kinaxi Shopping Center. But for the last one some modifications are being made to the initial project (looks like the ground floor will be for stores and the fst, snd and third will be for offices. The project will also have a cinema complex and restaurants; and garage). But for now still on studie. But the place is also already fenced and protected.
Belas Shopping is marvelous, spectacular, pretty; state of the art.
I hope bring you some pictures very soon, just give me some time for that.

Now about the Zimbo tower, where exactly in Luanda is it? What bairro?

About the Zimbo Tower, the project is located on the road: "Avenida de Portugal"(ex. karl Max road), close to the Portuguese Embassy and the "Pastelaria Primor. Just in front the entry of a tunel on the same road coming up from Mutamba.

PS: Today is bankholiday so join the day men.

Stormshadow and me were discussing that a while ago that it would be very nice to have someone in Luanda who can keep us (the world out) there updated from time to time!

People its great to know that u really feel the transformation thats going on in Luanda.
Some say that in future this city will be like São Paulo, etc.
But only i can tell you guys is that this city will never be the same.
Still lot of problems to solve, but if we resist the war why can we wait to see this city in the place she use to be in the past.
Lets just hope the best for Luanda or as i always call for "Metropole Sul"

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

A large area within the Luanda City Centre was identified by the client for the first phase of the Luanda City Centre Development (LCCD). The need for this project which comprises hotels, banks, commercial and residential buildings, came about as part of the larger drive to invigorate the city of Luanda. LCCD will provide the impetus within the commercial hub of the city by providing accommodation, facilities and services to businesses.

Burmeister & Partners was asked to put together a proposal. A concept development with several project proposals was tabled. Though still in the concept phase the LCCD project, when it comes to fruition, will change not only Luanda’s skyline, but also its future.

The client requested us to make a development proposal for a multi purpose high rise building in the City Centre of Luanda.

Special features:
Traffic Impact Study, Moderns Architectural design, Model was build of proposal.
