If you add up all the Muslims that got crushed in uprisings beginning from the 1800's (the 1857 Mutiny of India, 1 million muslims crushed by the British)...through over 10 million muslims massacred through WW1 - WW2 in what is now known as the CIS, i.e. Central ex-USSR (Kazakhastan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Tadjikistan, Kyrgyz Muslims, Tartar Muslims, Adygei Muslims. Ingush Muslims, Chechen Muslims and Azeris.), over 1 million muslims killed in Occupied Kashmir, more than 1 million killed in Occupied Palestine, more than 1 million killed in former Yugoslavia and Albania, over 1 million muslims killed in the Iran-Iraq war - (a well documented CIA speciality), ....I think you get the message.

Lets see, Turkey was a Muslim country fighting Arabs in WW1. Some of those were hardly "imperialest" wars. Again, sources for such numbers? Any?

The whole fall of Turkey in the 1920's was a British led initiative with the help of ppl like Lawrence of Arabia and Kamal Attaturk....read on the subject, just google it.

If it was Arabs fighting Turks care to explain how that western colonialism that resulting in the deaths of Muslims? Did the Brits put a gun to Arabs heads telling them to fight their Turkish rulers of hundreds of years?

I was gonan do a petiton as some of you remember , but i decided not to as someone already started one on here, i was going to make part of my new online magazine.

But we have made the cover feature of the first issue , about the constructions workers and also we have a survey about Dubai with a couple of quesions on this issue.

we made the front cover of the site focus on the workers , as well, we hope we hit the mark , I was quite bored of doing my site untill the workers issue came up and then got some more inspiration to actually do something or try about this issue.

Ok will have a look in the morning, can you download the current signatures you have? because , it might help if the petition is on the site so it looks like a magazine is putting its weight behind it and i can send out a PR to our press contacts might get covered if it seems official .. if not i will just put a link on the site, as we dont want lose your current sigantures or divide the petition into two etc..

I don't think it's possible to download the signatures (if it is I have no clue how to do it). If you want I can try and edit the petition by mentioning your magazine along with the SSC forumers as the creators of the petition? your gonna need to get many more people than those on this forum to sign this before anyone takes note, petitions generally need around 100,000 signatures to be recognised by a government, but if the signatures arent coming from within the country you'll probably need closer to 10 million. Good luck theres 175 so far

Im not saying give up... im saying advertise as far afield as possible, if you can find an article on any of the online news sites, then try and pursuade them to add a link. BBC reguarly have feedback sections on their articles, and will always respond to comments and criticism.

i think this is something we all feel quite strongly about, as skyscrapers shouldnt get in the way of human rights
