Anyway I've done what I usually do and start a new project even though I have plenty of others which are not finished at all... It's the first I have tried that has all the steelwork in first, so I am not sure whether it is even possible to have the structure as it is, as I have no clue about force and supports etc.. What do you guys think? Would it be actually possible for such steelwork to stand?

No, there will be steps from the rows down to the moat (You can see the gaps in the wall ready) and then in the moat and under the stand will be catering and toilet facilities, and a small staircase or ramp going under the stand to the entrance with the turnstiles and exits. Its just another way to enter the stand, each section has about 1400 seats in and 1 entrance isn't enough.

what computer do you use?

My computer isn't that good, I just use tons of components and use as few textures as possible, and no photo textures if I can help it. My computer is lagging a bit, but because there are so many components and every section is a component and stuff the file currently is only 1mb in size. It will increse when I start to make things unique but its not about computer performance its about knowing how to keep file size down.

Oh yeah, it is sketchup Whalix, sketchup 7, I cant be bothered to upgrade.

Would it stand? CSaints is the guy to ask

I would say yes, if it is light enough. Steel is pretty strong and it would be reinforced with concrete, ive seen standiums with soimilar structures to that before.

Using components in skecthup is an absolute 'must' if you want to have individual seats, otherwise it will bring your computer to a crawl after a few thousand seats. Also turn off shadows, that also has a big impact on performance.

Ok ive decided it will be too big for betis. Any idea's on who to do it for? Probably a national stadium, how about Argentina?

Cap should be at least 80k.

47 rows. In comparison, the Olympic stadium Lower tier has 24 rows, Wembley has 45 in its LT.

People in the bottom rows would be advised to enter from the bottom of the stand.

Leeds did it take long to do the seats? I've never bothered trying individual seats on curves, don't have the patience haha

The ends and sides are components, so they are easy. Although the corners are components I still need to do 1 of them, so after Ive done all the steps and stuff I just do it section at a time.

Its hard to explain exactly how I do it, i'll make a video one day to show you.

Capacity is already about 50k and Im at the point where every row I add adds a thousand to the capacity. It will be at least 75k.

Do River or Boca fill out every game? And do they have any terracing there?

Argentina and Spain both need a proper national stadium, but I want to save Spain for now as the new stadium in Madrid will probably become the national stadium.

Do Hungary need a big national stadium?

I think Argentina would be good. Ideally either River or Boca could use it too but I don't know what their crowds are like. At the moment the pitch area is not big enough to hold a rugby pitch and Argentina are pretty big on rugby so I might build a temporary platform over the moat for rugby if I choose argentina.

Middle tier is almost done (Need to do the corners) and currently holds about 10k. Middle tier is entirely VIP seats. So far there are about 75 boxes with 16 seats in front of each one.

With a proportionate top tier capacity will be close to 100,000 I reckon. I will make it smaller, it will look stupid but 100k is just too big.
Or maybe I could do it for Barca? I still think Argentina could fill a big stadium though.

I will change the seat colour, I was thinking to white with some light blue in somehow?

I was also thinking of names as this may infuence the seat colours...
How about:

• Estadio de Blanco (Stadium of White, sounds crap in english but cool in spanish, I could make the stadium very white)
• Estadio Cielo Azul (Stadium sky blue)
• Estadio de fuego (Stadium of fire, sounds awesome but would require red orange and yellow seats which don't really suit Argentina. might save it for another time)
• Estadio del sur (Stadium of the South, again bad in english but ok in spanish)

Any ideas?

Edit: What about a gold and dark blue seat pattern, like the middle of their logo?

Hmmm... I quite like that, but it reminds me of the stadium of light and there are already 2 of them.

The highest stadium I know is DKR and it has 65m!!!

The biggest one I've ever made is "Statoil Stadium", the highest seats are 68m above the field level.

Hi everyone! This is my first post and my first stadium here.

It's for the Polonia Warszawa which plays their home games right at the heart of capital of Poland - at Konwiktorska 6 in Warsaw (stadium and the area in real world looks like that: http://maps.google.pl/maps?q=konwikt...eckie&t=h&z=18).
















Capacity of the stadium is 26.500 (lower tier: 19.500, upper tier: 7.000).

Multipurpose indoor arena and three office buildings were also designed to accompany the stadium.

I know there are some imperfections but it's only my second stadium. I was learning Sketchup while building the stadium. Next one will be better .

Pitch, benches and trees were taken from the Sketchup Warehouse.
