Are they going to call the top level the "Jet Stream seats", in honor of the 100 below gales that they will experience up there?

That would probably be Nitschke. Yikes.

But in all seriousness, this thing has actually started to grow on me. The renders really didn't do it any justice.

I would love to see a Big Ten championship game played at Lambeau. We are not the SEC! We should play our game outside in the cold not at Lucas Oil.

Despite most people's complaints about the new seating structure, that new video board is pretty pimp.

If they did the entire stadium like this during the last renovation, it would have been awesome. But instead it looks like a hastily expanded college stadium

Well who knows? You could see the entire stadium renovated like this.

Imagine the capacity....

^ Also agree. Looks like an Oakland A's failure to me.

I agree with you all on the roof. If it didn't have the roof, it may look better. As it stands right now, the stands look disjointed and tacked on.

That's a good point about the roof, and I do agree that it looks tacked-on. No more tacked-on than the entirety of Soldier Field, however. (Not that two wrongs make a right, of course)

If you think about it, though, they needed to put a "back" to the top tier of stands, and they couldn't have just had a flat wall or a railing. There needed to be somewhere to mount stadium lights that previously stood there as well, so really what other option did they have but to add a roof?

I think this will look better when it is finished.

One thought... I think the screen in the south endzone is made to look small by the massive steel structure it is mounted on. From the renders it seems that the excess of this structure won't have any real purpose.

Personally, I think that if you take away excess steel from around the videoboard, the whole design of the new expansion looks less gaudy, and really doesn't look too bad.

The north endzone screen looks much bigger, even though it is exactly the same size.
