I love the towers, but wouldn't the turbine wings create a lot of noise?

Why would you be worried about that? You are not going to work in that building. As long as it looks good, I would say that the turbines are great additions to the towers.

This is one of the most AWESOME LOOKING buildings in the WORLD !!!!
Imagine what this building would look like WITHOUT the turbines , then you will not worry too much about the noise.

the turbines arent there for aesthetic. they are supposed to serve a functional purpose whihc is to generate power, like windmills. i dont agree that it is there for aesthetic purposes only.

I never said it's there for asthetics purpose only. I said the noise may not be much of a concern given that it made the buildings look much more iconic. Of course I know those turbines generate powers, duh.

nice Towers, Bahrain is one of the few countries in the Gulf region that actually needs supertalls, it has a small area (only around 600-something square Km) and is very dense (the highest density per Sq Km in the Arab world)

To me, these two are perhaps the sexiest twins in the Middle East! Their creative turbines, shape, and presence inthe skyline make them the best towers officially accoding to Halawala's books.

A very nice view of the BAHRAIN financial Harbour and the Bahrain world trade center in the background. The old versus the new in Bahrain.

I love the WTC towers, very nice.

On the subject of population density, one thing I always wondered: Why is everything concentrated in the north of the country. The southern half of Bahrain island is almost deserted, why not expand there?

the southern half belongs to the royal family; they use it for the camels to roam around.

Exposed turbines... This would be a first in skyscraper design right?
