Assuming the overground metro section, I guess this building is part of the renovation of Austerlitz Station by AREP + Jean Nouvel.

The Generali Tower in La Defense in definitly dead. On this place, will take place a tower between 120 and 150m, invested by Saint Gobain.

In french:

Quote:

The most prestigious Grand Chelem tournament needs a redevelopment. The Fédération Française de Tennis and the Ville de Paris have presented the images of the extension of Roland Garros.

Source : http://projets-architecte-urbanisme....modernisation/

It includes :

- renovation and couverture of the central court Philippe Chatrier, with an amovible roof deployable in 10 minutes (finally !) to play in the rain and to get night sessions
- extension of the Place des Mousquetaires with an écran géant
- 5 to 8 new courts at Le fond des princes
- 1 new court with 4850 places
- a new building for the organization of the tournoi

Quote:
The new Roland Garros site :

The new court with 4850 places :

The height of the court central will increase from 18 to 31 meters.

According to wikipedia : Saint-Gobain is a French multinational corporation, founded in 1665 in paris and headquartered at La Défense. Originally a mirror manufacturer and fabolous pioneer in working with glass, it now also produces a variety of construction and high-performance materials. It is a world's leader in building materials.

The most famous achievements of the company, waiting for the Tour Saint-Gobain at La Défense, the biggest european business district :

Galerie des Glaces, Château de Versailles (the company was known as Manufacture royale des glaces de miroirs, founded under the control of Louis XIV of France to compete with the venetian glass production)

Anyway, Saint-Gobain wants its new headquarter as the showcase of its savoir-faire ... best cladding of all time coming to La Défense ?
