Actually, the tower itself has noting to do with the Palais des Congrès (although the whole complex has been built as a single building, indeed, if I may say so), since this tower is/was the Concorde Lafayette Hotel... Hotel bought by the Qatari recently (quite surprising ).

On the top floor of the Concorde Lafayette is a nice bar with a nice view on the Eiffel Tower and the Bois de Boulogne (open from 5pm).

^ Didn't know about this one, do you need to book the place in advance or can you just come in for a drink?

i was there 3 years ago, the prices begin at 18 euros for a drink, because its the bar of the Luxurious Concorde Hotel and you pay for the view over Paris.
but the prices are exagerated, something nice in Paris is expensive.

it is a bar, you come and have a drink, no booking. Of course you may not have the best table with the best view.

From what I've seen, retro-style is becoming more in fashion these days

As you wish. I just said nice, not extraordinary. It is not my favorite design either, but the view is unique anyway. I do agree on the "retro" feeling

Has Coeur Defense ever considered changing their blinds from white to black to not look like a complete mess on the skyline?

And we are waiting for the big refurbishment you promised to us (or, at least, suggested with a lot of sous-entendus)

Maybe it would be too hot in the building with black blinds ?
Plus, I think it makes the building alive.
