Yes this is the new way of mixity required by French cities (and a good thing according to me )
However considering the glass façade this is the project yes (and this is why there was so much recourse because this side is directly on an historical street (Rivoli).

The actual façade will be destroyed (no loss because it is a very old façade whitout any architectural interest) and replaced by a new one and this extra glass cover

What does that even mean? It's a requirement, an official, bureaucratic one? I hope you're kidding. And how is that good in any way? France/Paris levelling down its history, that's hardly good news.

I mean Governement require a minimum of 25% of social housing in every french city.
In that sense instead of creating ghettos of poor people the mentality here in France is to mix when possible different fonctionnalities in every operation: In this specific case, luxury hotel, social houses, luxury mall, but also nursery, shops, restaurant and luxury apartments along River Seine.

Renders of major Groupe Auchan 2bn€ project "Europa City"

Right
Gonnesse is selected to be one of the major area of the Grand Paris to be developed.
Especially when a private group want to invest 2bn€ for free

It will also welcome one of the new Grand Paris Express Station planned for 2024 (also year of the XXXIIIth Olympiad )

The corner building, that actually still stands today just waiting for the wrecking ball, is quite nice and harmonious. That one should never be demolished, tough I know it will be.

“French romances occupy a central position in the development of medieval European
literature. Their most popular subject matter by far was the Arthurian legend, which, though it
had its origins elsewhere, was first cast in romance form in France: the Round Table, the
tragic love story of Lancelot and Guinevere, and the notion of the Grail quest were all French
innovations."

Pfiouuuuuu so many things, mon ami ! It is of a very busy area of the Grand Paris as you can see

Clay, clay everywhere !
Europa City will cover 80 hectares of nothing at the crossroads of two busy roads (A1 and La Francilienne), between Paris agglomeration and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport. The location is already well provided by shops (O'Parinor with 220 shops 1km at the south, newcomer Aéroville with its 200 shops 3 km at the north-east), but it seems that the area is full of potential for Groupe Auchan because it will offer something new (commercial center with 500 shops Europe-themed, aquatic center, ski center, permanent circus, etc ...).
