Can someone explain me why 99% people still confuse their personal suubjective tastes as objective fact? Where have all the good, reasonable posters gone?

I actually quite like the experimental styles that are present in recent (though it's been a constant factor for decennia) projects in Paris.

Obviously they aren't all great or overwhelming like the philharmony or the Louis Vuitton Foundation (spelled correctly?), some of them are even tacky as hell (I for insance really dislike the project with the yellow flower windows), but it does have a sense of vibrancy and creativity. It makes everything stand out in its own way, everything seems... interesting, some successfully and some rather disappointingly tacky and out of place.

But so is all architecture and taste for that matter.

I think also, that the new projects in Paris at most are ugly. And letranger has not said, that his meaning ist objectiv for all mankinds, he has spoken of his self.

Why don´t you understand this, Alexandru ? Are you to much sensitiv about meanings, which not yours ?

I have a perfect understanding of things, thank you. I just dislike strong, unwarranted derogatory dismissals, be them about anything. If I don't like your post for example, I'm not going to call it stupid shit or something like that , and I belive everyone should contribute to a healthy discussion with considerate posts, like Phoenyxar just did above.

All, what an individual say, is subjectiv. So it is unnecessary to point, that this should be. It is only necessary if an individual says, that his position objectiv is - but the exception, here it comes to the topic of. If that does not happen, it´s unnecessary what you point to, Alexanderu.

There are much projects more ugly than Visalto (and not only in Paris, follow my eyes...) Personally, I like it :

tragic love story of Lancelot and Guinevere, and the notion of the Grail quest were all French

Maybe it's too modern. Sometimes modern's awesome - like Tour Phare. Gorgeous.
But usually...

Paris has some great projects going on at the moment and also one's that have recently been completed such as the lv but that visalto project is really depressing, its like the architect was trying to be controversial and p*ss people off.

I find it really amazing how much Paris, especially near the Peripherique road, is changing. There is so much that has been built, is being built or will be built, since 2010 alone. I like how they are rebuilding modern (even wacky) stuff in the place of mediocre or ugly stuff that once stood (e.g. where ugly, humble housing and other buildings stood alongside factories of a past era). Paris is just getting more beautiful in my opinion because it has retained so much of the austere yet elegant and harmonious architecture of the mid and late 1800s, and has been replacing the rest with better.
