1960's buildings were never constructed particularly well, so let's just hope that it'll decay naturally.

Looks nice but doesn't fit in.. It isn't really what someone would call "modern" anymore.

La Défense is modern, almost futuristic with the huge Grande Arche and wide open square. It's a unique business centre unlike any other.

You can add all that was built during the world fairs then... Sad but true.

Some of the stuff from the world expo needed to be destroyed though. It was on the Seine in the middle of Paris so it was needed. But this.. This was in a park, there are only two buildings left from this..

I guess they destroyed too because it symbolised colonialism... They had a full scale replica of Angkor Wat.. Man the 1930s... what a great time. It would have been cool if they could have kept the Section Métropolitaine.

Otherwise I like what they did to the Palais de la Porte Dorée with the conversion of it into an immigration museum. It's good to see the diversity of France and how our ancestors came xD.

I know, it already had been asked for million times, but is there any list of all (significant) projects BEING build right now?

LES GRANDS PROJETS ARCHITECTURAUX DE PARIS
27 juillet 2015

Try this link :
http://www.parismetropole2020.com/web/#/

I don't think it's entirely comprehensive, but it features a lot of projects within Greater Paris

There doesn't seem to be much going on in Paris, I'm surprised how slow it is compared to Europe's other big cities London, Moscow, Istanbul. What are the reasons for this?

I didn't know it was so wrong to ask a simple question about an obvious situation, don't you wonder what the reason is for such a big gap between Paris and the big three
