Yeah, that is what I thought. What on earth could be there?

It can't be the Lime Street tower can it? Ergh, I'm confused. Anybody else know?

That's nowhere near 100 Bishopsgate or Heron Plaza.

I think that construction is 6 Bevis Marks, 52m/16 story building

I was going to smugly let you know what it is, but then was horrified to realise I have no clue. Will have to look up this mysterious 1 metre sq now..

haha yeah its crazy how many people were stumped with this. I was looking at the 1 Metre Square page and there is not much activity. The project has also caused a bit of controversy due to blocking views from Aldgate blah blah blah.

Either way, it won't be blocking the view of the City's current Pinnacle... The Leadenhall building. (See what I did there aha)

Had to look at that picture twice! The Gherkin behind it gave the illusion that the lower half of the tower is curved.

Wow - that picture is unbelievable. Really is.

It's a bit of a shame how The Gherkin has effectively been pushed out from some angles - but its worth it for sure. The Walkie Talkie really fits in from that angle. I love it.

I know... it is a shame that no other UK Cities are building/approving/master-planning a skyline. A 'rival' if you will in the UK. Much like New York vs Chicago etc.

There's so much potential in other UK Cities..

This building, in my opinion, is the single most beautiful structure built in the entire world so far this century. I have a feeling that the building that overcomes that title will also be built in London

P.S. I'm saying this as someone who isn't from London It's a known fact that London is one of mankind's greatest achievements.

Could you please rather refrain from such bold and unnecessary statements? It's only spurring another SSC kiddo flamewar, I sense. Thank you.

Nice skyline picture, btw. But I still don't like how London's skyline is getting even more cluttered these days. It should focus more. CW would be the perfect Manhattanesque area for London.

... Manhattanesque ... the problem is that Manhattan has 2 main clusters. The difference with London is that these 2 clusters are way bigger !

IMO London is about to be Manhattanesque one day ... but with the London modern touch !

I do not think it is at all cluttered - it is in the early stages of development. The City is experimental and revolutionary with it's designs. CW is boxy and retains a more simple/classic skyscraper look to it.

Both the City and CW are beautiful. London, like New York, has 2 skylines.
