I don't mean to be one of those guys, but I'm not sure if davidaiow is aware of this section.... the steel is rising!! This tower has AON as a major pre-let... it's full steam ahead from now on.

It would look better with silver steel and black cladding imo. Yellow steel looks weird.

It's only got the odd yellow highlight. Sort of a signature of Richard Rogers the architect.

I can see he also likes x-bracing! His biggest project is 3WTC and it doesn't have any apparent yellow steel. Maybe he's not allowed using it.

^ 3WTC is no where near R+S+H's biggest project. They're part of that small club of international firms (like Fosters etc) that can be trusted to design and coordinate flagship new airports etc.

Maybe he just didn't feel it would fit with the other WTC buildings around it. Plus if he used it for every single project it would get slightly boring dont you think?
